Scope of Work

• Site survey, utility marking, tree protection
• Full basement excavation to 9-foot depth
• Footing trench cutout to engineer specs
• Backfill prep and crushed-stone base

Challenges

Two things wanted to slow us down: the water table rode high across the back third of the lot, and a run of buried fieldstone from an old 1800s foundation sat right in the dig line. We reworked the pattern so the basement floor stayed above the seasonal water line, then cleared the stone in one afternoon without touching the framing calendar.

Outcome

The builder had walls going up by day three. Final inspection cleared with no punch list, and the homeowner had their certificate of occupancy a full month sooner than the original timeline promised.
